Residential Demolition Services in Santa Barbara County

Residential renovation projects move faster and feel less stressful when the demolition phase is handled safely and cleanly. Smitty’s Environmental provides residential demolition services across Santa Barbara County to help homeowners remove what is outdated, damaged, or in the way so the rebuild can begin. Whether you are opening up a floor plan, updating a kitchen or bathroom, or preparing a home for a major remodel, our team brings the experience and equipment to complete the tear-out efficiently while protecting the areas you plan to keep.

For interior renovation projects, we handle residential demolition work like removing non-load-bearing walls and tearing out cabinetry, countertops, tile, flooring, drywall, and other materials that need to be cleared before new construction begins.

Our approach is controlled and safety-focused, with an emphasis on dust awareness and respect for your home so the space stays cleaner, disruption is minimized, and your project can move forward without debris slowing things down.

We also provide demolition for garages, sheds, outbuildings, fences, and other structures on your property that are no longer needed or have become unsafe. These tear-downs are planned carefully around access, landscaping, and nearby structures, and we can coordinate hauling and debris removal to clear the footprint, tidy the area, and leave the site ready for whatever comes next.

Highly recommend Smitty’s for cleaning up hazmat and toxic waste. The entire team was friendly, professional, and pleasant to work with. They performed the work in half the time quoted and left the job site in excellent condition.

On 1-7-21 a fully loaded Hanson’s cement truck came over the side of the southbound 101 highway taking out the roadside light standard continuing down the embankment taking out everything in its path. Fortunately, “only trees, foliage, and fencing”. The truck came to rest on its side between the fences protecting our property between the freeway and railroad. The cleanup and truck removal was performed by Smitty’s tow truck service and their environmental cleanup division which professionally and efficiently cleaned up the diesel fuel leakage. The cleanup was directed by Savanna Voight, a very professional and knowledgeable leader. My wife, Shannon and I as well as the entire Escondido HOA would like to thank them for a job well done!!
