Since 1991, Santa Barbara county has looked to us for anything from tire changes to large equipment moves. As we grew, our reach stretched from San Luis to Ventura County and beyond. In 2015, we realized that our community needed more than just a towing company, they needed a hazardous materials response agency.
Previously, the way to clean up spilled materials resulting from a traffic indecent involved absorbent or dirt and a quick sweep. This method left the scene with residual hydrocarbons, leading to storm water run off that floods into groundwater, oceans, and streams. Something about this philosophy did not sit well with us, and thus Smitty's Environmental was born.
At Smitty's Environmental we pride ourselves on using state of the art equipment, chemistry, and technology to mitigate the effects of traffic incidents. Our goal is to leave the scene in better condition than it was before the event.
All of our technicians are trained at minimum with a 40 hour Hazwoper certification, however many are equipped with training far beyond this initial requirement. Each of these technicians are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Smitty's Environmental has a California State Public Health license for the remediation of biohazard crime/trauma scene cleanup. Our specially trained and certified bio hazard technicians are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Our rapid response vehicles are located in both Santa Maria, Lompoc and Santa Barbara, so time sensitive jobs can be catered to with care and expediency.
Today, Smitty's Environmental covers all types of industrial mishaps.
